The Gaza Health Ministry has documented 14 massacres carried out by the Israeli military in the past 24 hours, while the army has acknowledged the difficulty of fighting in the Gaza Strip, attributing it to the so-called readiness of the Palestinian resistance.

Following the announcement of the recorded massacres, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in Khan Younis refugee camp in southern Gaza Strip in the last few hours, resulting in four martyrs, including a child.

Prior to that, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported the martyrdom of 19 people due to the ongoing raids and Israeli shelling on Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, bringing today’s death toll in the sector close to 200.

The Gaza Health Ministry had stated that the Israeli military forces committed 14 massacres in the past 24 hours, leading to the martyrdom of 147 Palestinians, and injuring 243.

Therefore, the total number of martyrs since October 7 has risen to 23,357, while the injured exceed 59,000.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported the death of five martyrs and the injury of several others in Israeli shelling that targeted farmland sheltering a number of displaced people north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

In Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes bombed a house opposite the gate of the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa Hospital. The government media office stated that 40 people fell between martyrs and wounded as a result of the raid that targeted the house.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that journalist Ahmed Badeer was martyred due to the bombing that affected the vicinity of the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive images, for the first time, from inside the town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, which has witnessed fierce clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli military forces. The images show the massive destruction caused by the Israeli shelling in the region.

Targeting an Ambulance

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip announced the death of six people including four paramedics, in an Israeli strike that targeted an ambulance on the 96th day of the war between Israel and the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

The ambulance was on Salah al-Din Street, a main highway extending from the north to the south of Gaza, which has been used by thousands of Palestinians fleeing the Israeli military advance in the sector.

Jagan Chapagain, the Secretary-General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, stated on the "X" platform, "This is unacceptable. I strongly condemn their killing."

Casualties and Difficult Fighting

The Israeli army has announced the injury of 17 of its officers and soldiers in the Gaza battles during the past 24 hours.

Earlier, the Israeli army announced the death of a reserve officer from the combat medical unit last night and the serious injury of a reserve soldier during the ongoing battles in the central Gaza Strip.

The announced death toll of the Israeli military forces, from soldiers and officers, since Operation Cast Lead and the war on Gaza on October 7, has risen to 520, including 192 killed since the start of the ground operation on October 26.

The Israeli military spokesman stated that the army attacked more than 150 targets in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.

Its warplanes bombed many of what the military spokesman described as militants in the Maghazi area and in Khan Younis, and announced the discovery of 15 tunnel openings, rocket launchpads, and combat methods. An apparatus for manufacturing rocket projectiles was also destroyed according to the Israeli military spokesman.

Moreover, the Israeli military spokesman Daniel Haggari stated that there have been operations carried out by the Israeli army to recover "hostages," while other operations were stopped. He added that different operations are on the table to achieve this.

In turn, Israeli Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi said on Wednesday that his soldiers are fighting in Gaza in a complex area above and below ground, against a long-organized and well-prepared enemy.

Halevi explained that the fighting in Gaza is incredibly complicated due to several factors, including high readiness of those he described as enemies.

During images published by the Israeli army showing the inspection of forces in the Bureij area of the Gaza Strip, Halevi described the death and injury of several due to the explosion of an ammunition truck as a very bad event. He reiterated threats to Lebanon, telling the soldiers that after what they managed to do in Gaza, they could do it in Lebanon if needed.
