The Israeli police have reported that a female recruit from the special border guard unit was killed in clashes early Sunday morning in the West Bank city of Jenin. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera's correspondent has reported the martyrdom of six Palestinian youths, including four brothers, following an Israeli drone strike near the Martyrs' Triangle at the southern entrance to Jenin.

With the deaths of these six young men, the number of martyrs in Jenin, killed by Israeli occupation forces by gunfire and bombings, has risen to 80 since the onset of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year.

This escalation occurred after Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin, triggering immediate armed clashes between them and Palestinian fighters in several areas of the city. The Israeli military has announced that four soldiers were injured, including two with serious wounds, after an explosive device detonated targeting them in Jenin.
