It seems that the honeymoon period for some buyers of Apple’s “Vision Pro Glasses” has come to an end, as reported by “The Verge”, the number of customers returning their glasses to the American company is increasing.

The website notes that there has been a rise in the number of users returning the $3500 glasses in recent days, as observed through social media channels. The American company allows the return of any product within 14 days of purchase, with some key reasons for returns being discomfort during use, headaches caused by the headpiece, difficulty with the weight of the device, and the concentration of weight at the front causing prolonged discomfort.

Parker Ortolani, the product reviewer at “The Verge” specializing in technology, mentioned that he experienced redness in his eyes from using the device, echoing similar experiences shared by other individuals regarding eye redness issues.

The website acknowledges that, in fairness, many users of various types of VR headsets have previously complained about eye dryness and redness issues. Ortolani, who returned the device, stated that, while the usage was promising, it was not very comfortable to wear for extended periods due to weight and strap design.

Each human body is unique, presenting a challenge when producing wearable technology and selling it to a wide range of customers across different markets. For instance, with smartwatches, the issue often revolves around size and weight compared to the wrist.

With smart rings, the problem may lie in the size of your finger, as many individuals experience issues with swelling. Regarding smart glasses, a simple problem like a different nose shape can cause the device to slip or fail to function properly.

However, the device is not the only concern, as there is a common complaint that the “Vision Pro” does not offer sufficient features for its price.

A software engineer on social media platform X stated that programming with the glasses failed to convince him and caused severe headaches. One Reddit user shared, “I didn’t get these glasses for productivity, didn’t enjoy them for entertainment, and they don’t have enough games to play on them, so I can’t justify keeping them.”

It is challenging to determine how the opinions of these early adopters will impact the future of Vision Pro as a tech product. The report mentions that many individuals may consider returning to the device once these issues are addressed and an improved version is released.
