Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced on Saturday that its fighters eliminated an Israeli force of 8 soldiers at point-blank range after carefully ambushing them in the center of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis.
The Qassam Brigades added that they also killed an occupation soldier during entry into a house, and combated the rest of the force with weapons and grenades in Khan Yunis, stating, "We surrounded a Zionist force of 9 soldiers yesterday, clashed with them in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis, and inflicted casualties on them."
The Qassam Brigades announced the detonation of an anti-personnel explosive device against a Zionist force inside a building in Khuza'a, east of Khan Yunis, resulting in deaths and injuries among its members.
On Friday evening, the brigades had targeted 9 Israeli vehicles and engaged with foot soldiers, stating that their fighters clashed with foot soldiers and eliminated soldiers in the eastern part of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. Furthermore, the Qassam Brigades announced that their fighters targeted a gathering of occupation vehicles in Khan Yunis with mortar shells.
Al-Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli bulldozer in Khuza'a, east of Khan Yunis, with a "Yasin 105" projectile. In a joint operation with Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, the Qassam fighters struck 3 Merkava tanks with "Yasin 105" and "Tandem" projectiles in the Ma'an area, south of Khan Yunis.
In the Al-Zanna area, east of Khan Yunis, Qassam fighters detonated anti-personnel devices against two Israeli forces; one positioned in a house and another advancing towards a tunnel opening. They inflicted casualties among them. Also, in the Al-Zanna area, the Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli "Namer" troop carrier with a "Yasin 105" projectile.
The Qassam Brigades released images purportedly depicting attacks on enemy vehicle gatherings and soldiers in the Al-Qarara area, north of the Gaza Strip.
Saraya al-Quds announced that its fighters bombarded Israeli military gatherings in the station area of Khan Yunis with heavy-caliber mortar shells. They also shared footage claiming to show their fighters targeting Israeli vehicles at the frontlines in the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj neighborhoods, east of Gaza City.
The Israeli military announced that 15 of its soldiers were injured in Gaza over the past 24 hours, with an Israeli military spokesperson stating that the army is working to improve its forces' performance.
Elsewhere, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that several Palestinians were martyred in Israeli shelling on civilian homes in Al-Zawayda town and other areas in the central region of the Gaza Strip since Saturday dawn. The Qassam Brigades also announced targeting 9 Israeli vehicles and engaging with foot soldiers, culminating in eliminating soldiers in the eastern part of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
In Khan Yunis's Al-Manara neighborhood, the number of martyrs from Israeli shelling on a house rose to 18, in addition to several injured. Meanwhile, 15 Palestinians were martyred, and dozens were injured as a result of ongoing Israeli shelling on civilian homes in the central region since dawn.
Al Jazeera's correspondent noted that another 3 martyrs fell and others were injured in Israeli shelling on a house in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. This occurred concurrently with the martyrdom of 35 individuals and the injury of more than 60 others due to Israeli shelling in the central Gaza Strip during the past hours.
In Al-Zawayda town, central Gaza, several Palestinians were martyred, and others injured when Israeli shelling targeted a house belonging to the Al-Zubeidi family in the town. Some residents remain trapped under the rubble, with rescue teams and civil defense facing significant difficulties in saving and retrieving victims due to a severe shortage of necessary equipment and capabilities.
