On Monday, the Israeli military conceded the deaths of five of its soldiers, including three officers, in the ongoing conflicts across the Gaza Strip. This admission brings the total Israeli casualties since the ground operation commenced in Gaza on October 7 to 133, according to Israeli disclosures.

Early in the day, the military acknowledged the fatalities of two officers and two soldiers, along with injuries sustained by another soldier during combats in the southern sector of Gaza. Later, they reported an additional officer's death in the northern part of the conflict zone.

As such, the total loss for the Israeli forces since the operation "Al-Aqsa Storm" has escalated to 459, comprising both soldiers and officers based on the latest official toll disclosed.

The Israeli military's losses have intensified in recent days due to escalated battles against the Palestinian resistance in the southern regions of Gaza, particularly around Khan Yunis.

The resistance has announced a series of operations and attacks that have targeted Israeli tanks, vehicles, and troop gatherings. These assaults have resulted in a significant number of enemy soldiers killed and wounded.

Yesterday, the army admitted a casualty report of one officer and two soldiers killed, in addition to nine injuries, among which were two officers and three soldiers, in the Gaza Strip's southern battles.

On the other side, Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), repeatedly stated in his periodic announcements that the official numbers of deaths and injuries released by the Israeli military are "untrue" and that the actual figures are significantly higher.

This news comes amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, now in its 73rd day, which has left approximately 19,000 martyrs and more than 51,000 wounded. The vast majority of the victims are women and children, alongside colossal destruction to residential buildings, vital infrastructure, and hospitals.
