An Israeli woman, recently freed in a prisoner swap with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stated that her mother was killed and both her and her brother were injured when the Israeli army fired at their vehicle en route to Gaza during a capture operation on October 7th.

In an interview aired on Israel's Channel 12 on Monday, she explained that fighters from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, placed the prisoners in a truck on that day, and subsequently, Israeli forces opened fire on the vehicle.

She added that her mother succumbed to Israeli gunfire, while she suffered a back injury and her brother was hit in the leg. Channel 12 claimed that the Israeli army "opened fire to stop a tractor that was heading to the Gaza Strip."

It was revealed in November that an Israeli police investigation found that an Israeli military helicopter had fired upon Israelis during a music festival in the Gaza periphery on October 7th, coinciding with the "Al-Aqsa Torrent" operation.

Additionally, Israeli eyewitnesses, detained by the resistance in the Barri region within the Gaza envelope on October 7th, testified on December 11th that the Israeli army was involved in the killing of its citizens by shelling their locations with tanks, despite prior knowledge of their presence.

Moreover, Israeli Lieutenant Colonel Erez told the Haaretz newspaper that during the Palestinian resistance's attack on October 7th, it was clear that the army utilized the "Hannibal Protocol," which allows for the killing of captives to prevent Israeli civilians from being taken to Gaza as prisoners.

On October 7th, the Palestinian resistance launched the "Al-Aqsa Torrent" operation against Israeli settlements and military bases around Gaza, in response to daily Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people and their sanctities. During this operation, approximately 1,200 Israelis were killed, around 5,431 were injured, and roughly 239 were captured, with dozens being exchanged during a seven-day humanitarian ceasefire that lasted until December 1st.

The Israeli military has been conducting a destructive offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7th, which, by Monday evening, resulted in 19,453 fatalities, including 52,286 injuries, most of whom are children and women. This ongoing aggression has inflicted massive damage on infrastructure and led to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
