The Israeli Occupation Army announced on Thursday that three Israelis, previously considered missing since the October 7th attack, are now confirmed to be held by Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

Army spokesperson Daniel Haggari told reporters, "The three citizens, who were listed as missing, are currently counted among the hostages, and their families have been informed of their status."

With this announcement, the number of Israelis being held by Palestinian resistance in Gaza since last October's attack rises to 132, according to figures released by Israeli officials.

On October 7th, 2023, Palestinian resistance led by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) carried out an attack on military sites and settlements around the Gaza envelope. During this assault, approximately 240 Israelis were held captive, 100 of whom were subsequently released in an exchange deal with the occupation that saw the release of dozens of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

Since the attack, Israel has launched a widespread offensive against the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 22,000 people to date, the majority of whom are women and children, according to the latest figures from the Gaza Health Ministry.
