This morning, Israeli police forcefully dispersed dozens of protesters who blocked the entrance to the Knesset in West Jerusalem. The demonstrators demanded prompt elections and the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, one protester was arrested during the incident.

The demonstrators gathered near the Knesset, calling for the government's downfall and immediate elections due to its failure in handling the October 7th attack and its war management strategy. The newspaper reported that some of the protest organizers had lost family members on October 7th.

Quoting Haaretz, a protester named Roni stated that his brother was killed because of "one man who waged his own war against Israel for only 8 years to stay in power, to evade justice, and to continue looting our money," referring to Netanyahu.

Roni emphasized that there is no country in the world where the prime minister would not resign the following day after a required reform.

This is not the first instance of Israelis protesting to demand Netanyahu's government's resignation. According to "The Times of Israel," thousands gathered in Tel Aviv and outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea on Saturday night, protesting for immediate new elections amidst ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

On October 7th last year, Hamas and other Palestinian factions launched "Al-Aqsa Flood," a large-scale operation in response to continual Israeli assaults on the Palestinian people. The attack targeted Israeli settlements near the Gaza Strip, resulting in approximately 1,500 Israeli fatalities at the beginning of the battle and the capture of about 250 others.
