Dressed in a black suit with a dove-shaped pin—symbolizing peace—affixed to the left side of his chest, Abdalla expressed his solidarity with Gaza and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities.

On Instagram, Abdalla shared a post about the pin, saying, "The dove is made in Bethlehem. Today marks three months of unfathomable death and destruction. We need this to end. The first step must be a permanent ceasefire." He also included a hashtag advocating for a ceasefire, suggesting urgency in resolving the conflict.

Abdalla, an actor and activist, gained international recognition for his role in Paul Greengrass's 2006 Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning film "United 93," which chronicles the events of United Airlines Flight 93, hijacked as part of the September 11 attacks, where he portrayed the pilot Ziad Jarrah.

Additionally, Abdalla starred in "The Kite Runner" and shared the screen with Matt Damon in "Green Zone," his second collaboration with director Paul Greengrass.

Abdalla attended the Golden Globe Awards as a part of the cast of "The Crown," which revolves around the life of Princess Diana, the former wife of King Charles.

The television categories at the Golden Globe Awards showcased a clear dominance by "Succession," with its final season winning four awards—including Best Drama Series, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actress—ensuring the Roy family's TV legacy concluded with a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. The show's actors, Kieran Culkin, Brian Cox, and Sarah Snook, were celebrated for their performances.
