The Israeli military announced on Friday evening that its warplanes carried out strikes on the villages of Labouna, Ramiya, and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the military said, "A short while ago, air force fighters launched raids targeting areas in the villages of Labouna, Ramiya, and Aita al-Shaab."
It continued, "As part of the attack, several infrastructures used by the Hezbollah organization were destroyed."
On another front, the Israeli army noted that "during the day on Friday, several operations of mortar fire were detected from Lebanese territory towards different areas" in northern Israel, without providing further details.
Exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon with the Israeli army have been intermittent since October 8, following the Israeli aggression on Gaza, resulting in casualties on both sides of the "Blue Line" boundary.
The confrontations have escalated since Israel assassinated Saleh al-Arouri, the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and six of its members in an air raid on the southern suburbs of Beirut on January 2.
Israel also assassinated the prominent field commander of "Hezbollah," Wissam Tweile, in an air raid that targeted his car in southern Lebanon on January 9.
