The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that Israeli occupation forces continue to target healthcare teams through bombings and arrests, resulting in the martyrdom of dozens.

During a press conference in front of the Al-Shifa medical complex in the north of the Gaza Strip, the ministry indicated that the infrastructure in Rafah is fragile and unable to withstand the needs of 1.3 million citizens and displaced persons.

It was also revealed that only 6 ambulances remain operational in the strip, with the ministry striving to maintain some essential services, including intensive care units and neonatal incubators.

The Gaza Health Ministry warned of the spread of epidemics among the displaced and residents, particularly children and the elderly. It urged international community organizations and human rights institutions to intensify efforts to secure the release of its medical teams from Israeli custody.

In the same context, the ministry requested help from international community organizations and human rights institutions in rebuilding the health system in the strip, including the entry of devices, equipment, medicines, and medical supplies.

Additionally, there is a request for allowing medical teams from outside of the Gaza Strip to enter and assist, as well as for permitting patients to leave the Gaza Strip for treatment due to the lack of resources to provide care for them within.

On the 99th day of the war, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza announced an increase in the toll of Israeli aggression on the strip since last October 7th, with the numbers reaching 23,843 martyrs and 60,317 wounded.
