Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), has stated that the last 100 days have felt like a century for the residents of Gaza.

In a statement released on Saturday, coinciding with the 100-day mark since the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, Lazzarini pointed out that Palestinians have experienced the largest displacement since 1948 due to the bombings. He added, "1.4 million people sought refuge in UNRWA shelters and were forced to live in inhumane conditions."

He highlighted that during the past 100 days, Gaza has witnessed the severity of death, destruction, displacement, hunger, loss, and grief, which stains our shared humanity.

Lazzarini considered "the last 100 days as though they were 100 years for the people of Gaza," saying most of the residents will carry the physical and psychological wounds resulting from the attacks for life.
