Israeli Occupation Forces Bombarded Several Sites in Gaza Today, Sunday, resulting in a number of martyrs and injuries, while partially withdrawing from the areas east of Deir al-Balah City. An Israeli reserve officer and a combat engineer soldier were also confirmed killed in clashes with resistance fighters in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported the death of two martyrs and several injuries from Israeli shelling targeting the town of Abasan, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The correspondent also mentioned that Israeli forces targeted the town of al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip with intense artillery fire, and Israeli shelling also hit the neighborhoods of Tal al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajlin in western Gaza.

Medical sources informed Anadolu Agency of the fall of martyrs and the wounded due to an Israeli bombing of a house in the al-Barakah area of Deir al-Balah City. The agency’s correspondent added that the Israeli military targeted with heavy artillery shells the vicinity of Street 10, the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and the town of Juhor ad-Dik, in the southern Gaza Strip.

This coincided with intense Israeli army bombardment on the al-Maghazi and al-Bureij refugee camps, where Al Jazeera’s correspondent mentioned that Israeli forces prevented ambulance and rescue teams from reaching the al-Maghazi camp.

Clashes and Withdrawal

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s correspondent confirmed the continuation of clashes with heavy machine guns in al-Bureij camp, between resistance fighters and soldiers of the Israeli army.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that the Israeli rescue unit continued to transport wounded soldiers from battles in the central Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, the Israeli army withdrew from areas east of Deir al-Balah city, in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with fierce shelling that targeted the city and led to casualties.

The Israeli forces left extensive destruction in the areas they withdrew from, with hundreds of homes completely demolished and widespread bulldozing operations carried out on main roads in areas where they had been infiltrating.

On their part, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced targeting a Merkava tank with a “Yasin 105” missile in Khan Younis.

In a military statement, the brigades said their fighters “engaged with a special Zionist force with machine guns” in Khan Younis.

Earlier today, the Israeli army acknowledged the killing of a reserve officer and a combat engineer soldier in clashes with the resistance in the southern Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Saturday, the occupation announced the killing of one of its soldiers and the severe wounding of two officers and another soldier in clashes with the resistance in Gaza.

The death toll of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip has risen to 523 officers and soldiers since October 7th, according to the occupation, while the Palestinian resistance states that the number of Israeli military casualties is much higher than the announced figure.
