One of Mecca’s hotels announced the opening of the world’s highest hanging prayer hall on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Positioned at a staggering height of 483 meters above sea level, the prayer hall offers a panoramic view of the holy sites, including the Grand Mosque and the Kaaba.

Located within “The Address – Jabal Omar” hotel, this architectural marvel weighs an impressive 650 tons. Its steel bridge was initially assembled at 312 meters above sea level before being elevated to its final height, connecting the hotel’s twin towers on the 36th, 37th, and 38th floors.

The prayer hall boasts a capacity to accommodate approximately 520 individuals within a spacious area of 550 square meters. Its interior decor beautifully blends traditional Arab designs with modern touches, and Arabic calligraphy adds a dignified character to its ambiance, including the Asmaul Husna—the beautiful names of Allah.

Perched within the bridge connecting the hotel’s towers, the prayer hall stands roughly 179 meters above the hotel’s internal road level.

“The Address – Jabal Omar” hotel, which opened at the beginning of 2024, is the largest and tallest building in the Jabal Omar area of Mecca.
