Two Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli occupation army gunfire in the city of Salfit in the occupied West Bank amid confrontations that erupted early on Friday. The raids intensified in the villages of Beit Furik, Beita, Kafr Qallil, and Qablan to the south and east of Nablus governorate in the north of the West Bank, where the occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods and homes as part of the nighttime incursions in various areas of the West Bank in search of what they describe as “wanted individuals”.
The occupation forces also invaded the villages of Budrus and Qibya west of Ramallah in the central West Bank and patrolled the two villages. This was accompanied by assaults on a number of Palestinians before the forces eventually withdrew. The incursions also encompassed the city of Hebron and the areas of Jabal Abu Ruman and the towns of Adh-Dhahiriya and Beit Ummar.
The Israeli forces arrested a young man in the town of Tammun south of Tubas after raiding his house and the homes of several villagers, as well as positioning snipers on the roofs of various houses. Furthermore, another young man was arrested from the town of Beit Ummar, and two youths from the town of Kafr Qallil south of Nablus.
Withdrawal from Tulkarm
Meanwhile, the occupation forces withdrew from the city of Tulkarm and its camp after a military operation that lasted 45 hours.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported on Thursday that a young man was martyred, raising the number of martyrs in the Israeli military operation in Tulkarm and Nur Shams camp to eight during Wednesday and Thursday.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced in a statement on Thursday evening that their crews had received a martyr from inside Tulkarm camp.
Eyewitnesses stated that the body belonged to the martyr Mohammad Sleit (22 years old), who was killed on Wednesday by occupation forces’ bullets, which prevented the ambulance crews from reaching his body.
The military operation caused significant damage to the infrastructure of Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, with the occupation forces demolishing homes and arresting dozens of Palestinians.
Rising Martyr Toll in the West Bank
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that the number of martyrs who fell in the West Bank by occupation bullets had risen to 368 martyrs, 97 of whom were children since October 7 last year.
The ministry noted that the number of wounded has increased to 4,212 Palestinians, including 637 children.
The occupation army has been launching a series of raids and incursions into cities, towns, and camps in the West Bank since October 7, coinciding with its aggression on the Gaza Strip, routinely leaving martyrs and wounded in its wake.
