Two high-speed vehicles collided, which led to the deaths of three individuals amidst the celebrations. Conakry witnessed massive festivities where its streets were filled with motorcycles and fans traveling in cars, resulting in numerous injuries according to the same source.

Fans took to the streets after the match, which took place in Yamoussoukro against Gambia, in the second round of Group C matches. The victory places the Guinean team on the verge of qualifying for the second round of the continental competition.
Guinea had previously drawn 1-1 with Cameroon in the opening match. Notably, they will face off against the defending champions, Senegal, next Tuesday in the final round of the group stage.
