Barcelona Draws with Granada as Atletico Madrid Slides Further

Barcelona secured a thrilling 3-3 draw against visitors Granada on Sunday evening in the 24th round of the Spanish La Liga. With this result, Barcelona’s points tally reached 51, placing them in third position, trailing Girona by 5 points in second place and Real Madrid by 10 points at the top.

In the 14th minute, Barcelona took the lead through Amin Jamal, only for Granada to equalize with a goal from Ricardo Sanchez in the 43rd minute. Granada then went ahead in the 60th minute with a goal from Facondo Blestri, but Barcelona quickly responded with Robert Lewandowski scoring the equalizer just three minutes later.

Barcelona managed to level the score once again in the 80th minute, this time through Lamin Yama, making it 3-3 against Granada.

Atletico Madrid faced further setback as they suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Sevilla. The Andalusian team sealed the victory thanks to their promising forward, Isaac Romero, who scored a header in the 15th minute.

This victory marked Sevilla’s second consecutive win and only their fifth of the season, lifting them to 23 points and the fifteenth position in the league standings. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid sustained their second consecutive loss after being defeated by Athletic Bilbao with the same scoreline in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

Atletico Madrid now finds themselves trailing Real Madrid by 13 points in the La Liga table, as their struggles continue.
