Israeli Media Reports Major Ambush on Soldiers in Khan Yunis
Israeli media sources have reported that the occupying army fell into a large and well-executed ambush carried out by Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 11 soldiers.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation stated that the army “is facing a difficult situation in Khan Yunis after being subjected to a very large ambush,” while clashes continued between Palestinian resistance and occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.
The corporation added that “the serious security incident was an ambush that targeted the Israeli army south of Khan Yunis,” indicating that “the army may issue clarification regarding the events in Khan Yunis in the coming hours.”
Additionally, Israeli media outlets mentioned that “the security incident took place southeast of Khan Yunis in the form of a well-planned ambush, and the transfer of the dead and wounded took hours.”
It is worth noting that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), conducted a qualitative operation on January 22nd in Al-Maghazi Camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, where 21 Israeli officers and soldiers were killed.
