Israeli warplanes have been carrying out intensive airstrikes and launching fiery attacks in various areas of Gaza since Thursday morning. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that Israeli occupation forces invaded the Nasser Hospital complex in Khan Younis and converted it into a military barracks.

According to Al Jazeera’s correspondent, there have been casualties, including one martyr and several injured individuals, due to Israeli shelling targeting the orthopedics department at the Nasser Hospital complex in Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In another incident, five Palestinians, including the writer Ayman al-Rafati, were martyred in an Israeli shelling that targeted his family’s home on Jalaa Street in Gaza City.

The correspondent also mentioned that a number of injured individuals arrived at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital due to intense Israeli shelling targeting Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip. Some of them are in critical condition due to the shortage of medical staff and supplies.

In the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, numerous civilians, mostly children and women, were injured in an Israeli shelling on a residential building.

Video footage obtained by Al Jazeera showed the destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes on dozens of factories and companies in the northern and eastern areas of the Bureij refugee camp and east of Wadi Gaza.

Factory owners accused the Israeli occupation of seeking to destroy the economy of Gaza and its infrastructure.

Moreover, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that during one day, the occupation committed 11 massacres against families in the besieged enclave, resulting in 103 martyrs and 145 injuries in the past 24 hours.

The ministry stated that the number of martyrs due to the Israeli aggression has risen to 28,576, while the number of injured individuals has reached 68,291 since October 7th last year.

In a related context, the Ministry of Health warned of a catastrophic situation at the Nasser Hospital complex, appealing for international institutions to intervene to protect the complex and the people inside.

The ministry spokesperson, Ashraf al-Qudra, stated in a press release that the occupation forces had raided the Nasser Hospital complex and turned it into a military barracks. The occupation forces are targeting the ambulance headquarters, displacement camps, and mass graves inside the Nasser Hospital complex, forcing the remaining displaced individuals and medical staff families to evacuate forcibly.

Earlier yesterday, the Israeli army forced thousands of Palestinian displaced individuals to leave the Nasser Hospital complex amid gunfire in the hospital courtyard and surrounding areas where the displaced were located, witnesses told Anadolu Agency’s correspondent.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army ordered the displaced individuals to leave and head towards the eastern areas of Khan Younis city.

Last Sunday, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed deep concern about the situation inside and around the Nasser Hospital complex, which is surrounded by Israeli forces.

Since January 22nd, the Israeli army has been conducting a series of intensive air and artillery strikes on Khan Younis and around the city’s hospitals, advancing its ground forces in the southern and western areas, prompting thousands of Palestinians to flee the city.

Since October 7th last year, Israel has been waging a destructive war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in tens of thousands of civilian casualties, mostly children and women, as well as an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure damage.
