The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has revealed that its director, Christopher Wray, made an unannounced visit to Israel to meet with intelligence officials amid the destructive war being waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement released by the American investigative office last Wednesday, “Wray met with agents from his agency stationed in Tel Aviv, where he emphasized the importance of their work related to the movement of Hamas and the Lebanese Hezbollah party. He reiterated the FBI’s support for Israel following the attacks carried out by Hamas last October 7th.”
The statement quoted Wray as saying, “The long-term, close, and strong partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and our Israeli counterparts has enabled our ability to respond swiftly to these attacks.”
The FBI statement pointed out that Wray’s focus was on the agency’s efforts against foreign organizations that praise attacks on Israel and threaten to attack the United States, whether domestically or abroad. It emphasized that the Federal Bureau of Investigation “has been and will continue to respond to Israel’s requests for support.”
