The Israeli Occupation Forces resumed their aerial and artillery bombardment on various areas in Gaza this Saturday morning, marking the 71st day of their destructive war on the Strip. According to a Palestinian medical source, 14 individuals were martyred in strikes that targeted several homes on the old Gaza street in the town of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent confirmed that intense clashes are ongoing between the resistance and occupation forces in the Tel al-Zaatar area of the Jabalia camp, which has witnessed similar confrontations in recent days. These clashes have resulted in a significant number of casualties and wounded among the Israeli army ranks, according to its official statements.
Meanwhile, occupation aircraft bombed a house in the Al-Nuseirat camp, located in the central part of the Gaza Strip, with preliminary reports indicating casualties.
In connection with this, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli army has completely destroyed the southern part of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, north of the Strip. The Ministry pointed out that 12 children are still trapped inside incubators at the hospital without access to water or food.
On December 5th, the Health Ministry in Gaza declared that the invading Israeli forces north of the Strip forcibly and through terror and tank muzzles, took the Kamal Adwan Hospital out of service after besieging it and bombarding it for several days. A week later, the forces invaded the hospital, arresting its director, Ahmad Al-Kahlout, and taking him to an unknown location.
Last Wednesday, the Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Reesh, stated that the Israeli army is using the civilians trapped in the Kamal Adwan Hospital as “human shields.”
As the Israeli army escalates its targeting of all hospitals in the Strip, it coincides with a devastating war waged against Gaza. The conflict has resulted in approximately 19,000 martyrs and over 50,000 injured—most of whom are children and women—along with monumental destruction to infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
