Continuing the Israeli aggression on Gaza, now in its fifth month, attention has shifted in the past two months to the Red Sea, specifically the Bab al-Mandab area. Here, the Houthi group in Yemen began targeting ships heading to Israel in response to this aggression.
Since January 12th, the United States and Britain, with assistance and support from other countries, have initiated airstrikes on sites affiliated with the Houthi group. In turn, the group has stated that it will not cease its attacks until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops.
Al Jazeera Net, as usual, alongside its intensive coverage of the Gaza aggression and its developments and consequences, has shown interest in following and covering the developments in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Their coverage has varied from news to reports and analysis.
In the first episode of our new program, “Al Jazeera Net Panorama,” we showcase our coverage of these events and highlight the most significant moments from the past few weeks.
