Israeli Bombardment Resumes, Targets Gaza Strip Areas Resulting in Dozens of Casualties, with the Death and Missing Toll Nearing 30,000
Renewed Israeli bombardment – on Saturday night and early Sunday morning – encompassed areas in the north, center, and south of the Gaza Strip, leading to dozens of victims, including martyrs, wounded, and missing. The Media Office in the Strip announced that the casualty count of the martyrs and missing is approaching 30,000.
The number of martyrs due to the targeting of a house in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, has risen to 17, including 12 children.
Images from the immediate aftermath of the Israeli raids depicted Civil Defense and rescue teams in the process of extracting victims and providing aid to the injured, as well as scenes of significant destruction in Hamad city, west of Khan Younis.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported the death of 4 martyrs due to Israeli shelling targeting a building housing displaced people in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
Approximately 20 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombardment on a house belonging to the Nasr family, in the Al-Manara area southeast of the Khan Younis province. The bodies of the martyrs were brought to the European Gaza Hospital.
Despite the intensity of the Israeli bombing and continued artillery shelling in the area, residents are working to bury the martyrs in a cemetery near the hospital.
##Central and Northern Gaza Strip
In the central Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported the death of a Palestinian woman and the injury of others in an Israeli bombardment targeting a civilian house in the Al-Zawayda area.
Rescue teams recovered the body of a female martyr and several injured individuals, while others remain trapped under the rubble.
Rescue and Civil Defence teams face significant difficulties in saving and extracting victims due to a severe shortage of necessary equipment and resources.
Moreover, a number of martyrs and injured resulted from an Israeli raid on a house in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli bombardment extended to the central Strip, targeting Al-Nuseirat camp, Al-Maghazi, Al-Bureij, and Al-Zawayda town, causing Palestinian casualties and injuries.
The Israeli bombardment also resumed in the northern part of the Strip, targeting neighborhoods in Gaza City, homes in Beit Lahia Project and Jabalia Camp, coinciding with clashes waged by resistance factions in the Al-Tuffah area north of Gaza City and west of Jabalia Camp.
