In stoppage time, Moroccan player Walid Cheddira added the third goal from the penalty spot in the 91st minute, and Abdou Harroui rounded off the scoring, making it four in the 95th minute.

Fiorentina was the first to progress to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, following their victory over Parma via a 4-1 penalty shootout after the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
