The Gaza Health Ministry has reported a new toll of casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression, with the number of martyrs reaching 28,473 and the injured totaling 68,146 since the seventh of October last year. The ministry disclosed that the occupation has committed 16 massacres in the sector, resulting in the death of 133 martyrs and 162 injured within 24 hours. Furthermore, the ministry stated that there are still victims under the rubble and on the streets, with the occupation preventing ambulance and civil defense crews from accessing them.
Amnesty International warned on Monday of a real and imminent risk of genocide threatening the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, where civilians have no safe haven from the bombardment. The international organization highlighted that the population of Rafah has multiplied by five since the start of the Israeli attack on Gaza last October.
The Israeli occupation forces are preparing for a ground operation in Rafah, southern Gaza, after residents of the northern sector sought refuge there to escape the fighting in the north and center of the region. Meanwhile, the Israeli war on Gaza has entered its fifth month, causing massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, as confirmed by the United Nations. This has led to Tel Aviv being prosecuted for “genocide crimes” before the International Court of Justice.
