Manchester City’s star, Erling Haaland, is poised to return to action after a near two-month hiatus. He will feature in the lineup facing Burnley in the Premier League, as announced by City coach Pep Guardiola.
The “Cityzens” will host Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday in the 22nd week of the Premier League season.
Guardiola, in the pre-match press conference, expressed his enthusiasm for Haaland’s return, stating, “Haaland is back after his absence, we now have the full squad, we are stronger, and he is an important player for us.”

The “Norwegian Hurricane” has been sidelined since the Aston Villa match on December 6th, missing 10 City matches across all competitions due to foot fatigue.
Haaland has scored 19 goals in 22 matches in all competitions with City this season. His return provides a significant boost to the team, which recently welcomed back Kevin De Bruyne after recovering from an injury.
Guardiola added, “The important news is that the team is almost fully fit, and we no longer have injuries. Manuel Akanji is back and has trained well without feeling any pain in his knee, and John Stones is also fit.”
Manchester City faces an ostensibly easy challenge against their guest Burnley, who are in second-last place with 12 points, as they aim for their fourth consecutive win.
City sits in second place in the Premier League, five points behind the leaders Liverpool but with a game in hand.
