Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has called for the expulsion of Israel from the United Nations, stating that “the war crimes committed in Palestine are fully supported by the United States of America.”

During the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on Sunday, Raisi proposed, “We suggest expelling the Zionist entity from the United Nations because it does not respect international resolutions and laws, and preventing it from continuing its crimes against the Palestinians by cutting off all economic relations and dealings with it.”

Addressing a crowd in Azadi Square (Freedom) in Tehran, Raisi stated, “What is happening in Gaza today is a crime against humanity, and those defending these criminals are the American regime and some Western countries.”

He accused Israel of “violating 400 international resolutions, laws, and treaties” within the framework of “international organizations” and argued that “the war crimes and massacres occurring in Gaza reveal the true nature of the Zionist entity and Western countries.”

Raisi added, “We have received many messages asking us to stop supporting Palestine, but we will continue, and Jerusalem must be liberated.”

Iran has recently reiterated its supportive stance towards the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Palestinians following the aggression targeting the Gaza Strip since October 7th last year, resulting in over 28,000 martyrs and nearly 68,000 wounded, most of them women and children.
