After 100 days of relentless bombing, Israel has leveled residential neighborhoods and refugee camps in Gaza, completely wiping out life in various areas. Estimates suggest that clearing the debris of what Israel has destroyed during this period would require between 7 and 10 years. While Israel claims to target [militant factions], leaked information three weeks into the war indicates that the occupying forces are discussing the expulsion of civilian populations from the sector and the annihilation of all signs of life there. According to a report published by Al Jazeera to mark 100 days of war on Gaza, the intent can be discerned from statements made by both former and current officials regarding the need to evacuate the sector's residents and resettle the area, ignoring the implications of [genocide] and [forced displacement]—war crimes under international human rights laws. The report, prepared by Salam Khader, highlights a former National Security Minister, General Giora Eiland's call not to provide any resources that would prolong life in the Gaza Strip. ## Targeting Both Stone and Flesh Figures indicate that after 100 days of war, approximately 23,000 civilians in Gaza, including 10,000 children and 7,000 women, have been martyred, with more than 50,000 injured, and thousands still unaccounted for beneath the rubble. However, Israel's attacks are not just targeting resistance factions as it claims, but are striking at every neighborhood across Gaza. The occupying forces surrounded Al-Nasr Hospital for Children and forced the medical staff to evacuate, leaving behind premature infants who were later found decomposed within the facility. Israel also targeted vital resources for the population's survival, as 77% of hospitals in Gaza are out of service, according to United Nations estimates. In addition to that, the bombardment struc 104 schools, with 70% suffering severe damages. The occupation forces dropped more than 29,000 bombs on the sector, demolishing 40% of the homes by mid-December of last year, as per initial estimates. Satellite images reveal that during the past 100 days, entire neighborhoods have vanished from the face of the earth or have become uninhabitable, with walls of roughly 33% of Gaza's homes and streets obliterated. According to the American "Associated Press" agency, satellite images showed that two-thirds of the buildings in the northern sector were completely destroyed, and 25% of the southern buildings disappeared entirely. In addition to stone and flesh, Israel has also tried to kill the truth through targeting journalists, with more than 115 of them dying during the days of the war. The sector would need between 7 to 10 years to remove the rubble left by Israel in just 100 days, in what is known as "killing buildings," a term derived from the Latin "domus cide," meaning the systematic targeting aimed at total destruction of homes and buildings.
