The Israeli military announced on Monday evening that it had struck a site belonging to the Syrian regime's army. This action was taken in response to what was described as rocket fire aimed towards the occupied Golan Heights from inside Syria.
The Israeli military issued a statement on its Twitter account stating, "Several missiles were detected crossing from Syrian territory into Israeli land, falling into uninhabited areas, prompting the activation of warning sirens."
The statement added that the Israeli artillery retaliated by targeting the launches' point of origin and a military site of the Syrian army.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military announced the activation of warning sirens in the occupied Syrian Golan after rocket shells were fired from Syrian territory.
As of Tuesday morning, the Syrian regime had not responded to the Israeli military's claims.
