Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has reportedly walked out of a cabinet war council meeting after his chief of staff was barred from attending, amidst escalating tensions within the council, according to Israeli media sources.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (official) and Channel 12 private news reported that tensions within the cabinet war council are intensifying, with Galant exiting the ministerial discussion on Saturday evening due to the refusal to allow his chief of staff to remain present.

In related developments, Channel 13 private news noted that the Defense Minister has requested Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to "disrupt" his work within the government.

In recent months, the Israeli media has frequently highlighted ongoing disputes between Galant and Netanyahu. These disagreements are related to the management of the war on the Gaza Strip and post-war strategies, as well as Netanyahu's repeated attempts to blame the military for the war on Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in 23,843 martyrs and 60,317 injuries, most of whom are children and women, by Saturday night. Furthermore, there has been significant destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, according to authorities in the Gaza Strip and the United Nations.
