Jordan King Congratulates Nashama on Asian Cup Feat, Inquires About Naimat

The video call of Jordan’s King Abdullah II to the coaching staff and players of the national team after the end of the Asian Cup tournament, where Nashama achieved a historic feat by securing second place for the first time, was captured in a video.

Jordan finished as runners-up after a 3-1 loss to the Qatar national team in the tournament’s final match. The King extended a special greeting to coach Hussein Amouta and his staff, praising the accomplishment and expressing his intention to honor them upon their return home.

During the conversation, the King emphasized the continued support from all government and private sectors for sports and national teams, highlighting plans for the future to ensure the continued success of Jordanian football.

Captain of the Jordanian national team, Ehsan Haddad, stated that the final loss will not affect the team’s morale, affirming their desire to maintain their current level and shine in the Asia World Cup qualifiers to bring joy to the Jordanian people.

The King specifically inquired about the team’s star, Yazan Al-Naimat, who excelled during the tournament. The players responded warmly to the call, expressing happiness, with Captain Ehsan describing it as a “call of great value.”

The King had previously conveyed his greetings to the team on his X account, praising their exceptional performance and national spirit during the distinguished tournament.
Congratulating the Qatari brothers and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad on winning the Asian Cup and commending its organization, which he described as an Arab pride for reaching the final.
