Al Jazeera's correspondent reports several Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombardment targeting civilian homes in the town of Zawayda and other districts in Central Gaza since dawn on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced targeting 9 Israeli vehicles and engaging with infantry forces, and eliminating soldiers in the eastern part of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
In the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Younis, the number of martyrs from the Israeli shelling that targeted a home in the neighborhood has risen to 18, in addition to several injured. Fifteen Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured due to the continuing Israeli shelling on civilian homes in the central region since dawn today.
The Al Jazeera correspondent mentioned that 3 other martyrs fell and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment on a house in Deir al-Balah in the middle of the sector. This coincided with 35 martyrs and more than 60 wounded due to the Israeli shelling in central Gaza during the past few hours.
Also, in the town of Zawayda in the middle of the sector, several Palestinians were martyred, and others injured due to Israeli shelling targeting the home of the Zubaidi family in the town. A number of the house's residents remain trapped under the rubble, and rescue and civil defense teams are facing significant difficulties in rescuing and retrieving victims due to the severe lack of necessary capabilities and equipment.
Desecration of Graves
In Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza, the Government Media Office in the sector announced that the occupation army desecrated 1100 graves in Al-Tuffah cemetery, stealing 150 bodies.
The office stated in a press release that "a new crime has been added to the series of occupation crimes during its war of genocide against the Palestinian people through the desecration of nearly 1100 graves in the cemetery of Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza. The occupation's machinery leveled the site, exhumed the bodies of martyrs and the dead from their graves, trampled them, and disrespected their dignity, with no regard for the sanctity of the deceased or the cemeteries."
Occupations' Losses
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced targeting 9 Israeli vehicles and engaging with infantry forces, stating that its fighters clashed with them and finished off soldiers in the eastern area of Al-Tuffah in Gaza City. The Brigades also announced that their fighters targeted an assembly of occupation vehicles in Khan Younis with mortar rounds.
In the town of Khuza'a east of Khan Younis, the Brigades targeted an Israeli bulldozer with a "Yasin 105" projectile, and in a joint operation with the Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, they targeted 3 Israeli Merkava tanks with "Yasin 105" and "Tandem" projectiles in the Ma’an area of Khan Younis in the southern sector.
In the Zanna area east of Khan Younis, the Qassam fighters detonated anti-personnel explosive devices on two Israeli forces, one positioned in a house and the other advancing towards a tunnel entrance, causing casualties among them. In Zanna, the Qassam also announced targeting an Israeli "Namer" armored personnel carrier with a "Yasin 105" projectile.
The Qassam Brigades released images claiming to show the targeting of enemy vehicle gatherings and soldiers in the Qarim area, north of the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Saraya al-Quds announced that its fighters bombarded Israeli military gatherings in the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis with heavy-caliber mortar rounds. They also released footage they say shows their fighters targeting several Israeli vehicles in the advancing frontlines in Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj neighborhoods, east of Gaza City.
The Israeli army announced that 15 of its soldiers were injured in Gaza during the last 24 hours, with an Israeli military spokesperson saying they are working to improve the efficiency of their forces.
