The mother of the Palestinian girl Hind Rajab (6 years old) appealed to international institutions and organizations in an interview with Al Jazeera to take action to search for her missing daughter and reveal her fate.
Wissam said that her daughter has been missing for 7 days, and she eagerly awaits her return, saying, “Every time I hear an ambulance siren, I think maybe Hind is in it, and with every movement or gunfire or rocket, I say maybe my daughter is in it.”
Hind’s mother expressed her anguish over the psychological state her daughter may be in when she returns, saying that she studied psychology and is the one who feels her daughter’s condition the most. She stated, “If she returns safely, she will need long psychological sessions, in addition to needing treatment for her physical injuries.”
Wissam criticized the silence of international human rights organizations and United Nations organizations for not taking action to search for her missing daughter.
In her statement to Al Jazeera, she confirmed that she appealed from the first day of Hind’s disappearance to these organizations and living consciences to help her reach her daughter, but so far, no entity has reassured her or brought news about her: Is she alive? Is she injured? Is she receiving treatment?
Wissam addressed international organizations, saying, “You should talk to the Israeli army, reach the girl, and hold them accountable for the coordination they gave us.”
The grieving mother questioned why Hind’s case has not reached the International Court of Justice, which requested reporting any violations committed by the Israeli occupation army against Palestinians in Gaza, and added, “Is the killing of 8 people in a car not genocide?”
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza, Raed al-Namsh, confirmed in a call with Al Jazeera that they have not received any information or news from the international and UN authorities they contacted to know the fate of the child Hind and the ambulance team that went to rescue her when they were besieged by the occupation forces near a fuel station in Gaza.
This tragedy occurred when the invading occupation tanks targeted a civilian car near the “Almalih” roundabout in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City, which belongs to Bashar Hamadeh, accompanied by his wife and children Mohammed (11 years old), Layan (14 years old), Raghed (13 years old), and his niece, the child Hind.
The killing of the girl Layan was announced when she was speaking on the phone with the Red Crescent team, requesting rescue, while Hind remained trapped inside the vehicle surrounded by occupation tanks and soldiers.
