Israel's ongoing aggression towards the besieged Gaza Strip continues for the 89th consecutive day, intensifying aerial bombardment in the Nuseirat refugee camp located in the center of the Strip and Khan Yunis to its south. The Israeli military has dropped leaflets urging the residents of 7 neighborhoods in the Nuseirat camp to evacuate their homes. Meanwhile, the occupation forces have announced the death of an officer in battles within Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera's correspondent, Israeli warplanes destroyed several towers in "Ein Jalout" and bombarded the surroundings of Al-Wehda Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that Israeli artillery shelling targeted the northern and eastern outskirts of Gaza City. As of now, the number of martyrs and injuries resulting from the shelling remains unknown.
The correspondent reported the martyrdom of a child following the occupation's warplanes bombing the entrance to a school sheltering displaced people in Jabalia, north of the Strip. Furthermore, three Palestinians were martyred due to the targeting of a house belonging to the Nahal family in the Khirbet Al-Adas area, east of Rafah in southern Gaza.
It was confirmed that the occupation forces carried out heavy shelling on the town of Khuza'a, east of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Sounds of explosions were heard in the southern parts of central Khan Yunis.
The continuation of the bombing runs parallel to fierce battles between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces across different fronts in the Strip. Al Jazeera's correspondent reported violent explosions and the sounds of clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli army around the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Municipalities Appeal for Help
In response, the municipalities in the northern Gaza Strip have appealed to United Nations organizations and international community bodies to allow the entry of fuel and spare parts needed to resume the minimum necessary life requirements.
In a press conference, municipal leaders stated that the occupation has destroyed most of the main water wells, water tanks, water network pipes, and sewage pumps.
They added that the occupation's shelling targeted sanitation vehicles, leading to the accumulation of thousands of tons of waste in the streets, causing water pollution and the spread of diseases.
The northern Gaza Strip municipalities have launched an urgent distress call directed at UN and international organizations for the entry of fuel and spare parts.
