In Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera’s correspondent stated that Israeli shelling targeted schools housing displaced persons surrounding the Nasr Al-Tabi Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The correspondent also mentioned the retrieval of the bodies of two martyrs near Al-Aqsa University west of Khan Younis.
The Al Jazeera correspondent reported that a Palestinian was martyred inside the Nasr Al-Tabi Medical Complex in Khan Younis by Israeli sniper fire. The occupation forces targeted the emergency and surgery building with intense gunfire. 15 Massacres
Earlier, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that at least 27,840 Palestinians have been martyred or injured in the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7th.
The Ministry stated that around 130 Palestinians were martyred and 170 others were injured in the past 24 hours.
The statement highlighted that “the Israeli occupation committed 15 massacres against families in Gaza resulting in the martyrdom of 130 and injuring 170 individuals.”
It was also mentioned that “some victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, with the occupation preventing ambulance crews and civil defense from reaching them.”
Simultaneously, the Gaza government’s media office reported an increase in the number of martyr journalists to 124 since the start of the war on Gaza.
The organization “Reporters Without Borders” strongly condemned the Israeli army’s targeting of journalism and freedom of access to information in Gaza. The organization called on countries and international organizations to exert pressure on Israel to immediately stop this massacre.
The Israeli war on Gaza has entered its fifth month, with the majority of the casualties being children and women, according to Palestinian authorities. It has caused “massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” as per the United Nations.
