Palestinians were shot and others arrested on Saturday during new incursion operations carried out by the Israeli occupation army in the occupied West Bank, accompanied by violent clashes with militants.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that six Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces' bullets, one of whom was critically injured during confrontations that erupted in the towns of Beita and Anabta east of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.

The Red Crescent added that most injuries in both towns were from live ammunition.

Locally, sources reported that occupation forces stormed neighborhoods, deployed to arrest individuals deemed wanted, and took positions in the center of Beita town where confrontations with Palestinians flared up during the incursion. Israeli soldiers destroyed and burned down a commercial shop and launched sound grenades before withdrawing from the area.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the Shuweika suburb in Tulkarem through the western gate near the separation wall.

In the northern West Bank, the Israeli army invaded the city of Qalqilya for the second time early today and raided several neighborhoods in the city.

Violent Clashes

Not far from Qalqilya, occupation forces raided the Old City and its surroundings in Nablus, where Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that violent clashes broke out between the occupation forces and Palestinian militants tried to counter the incursion.

After withdrawing from the city, having destroyed a printing press owned by a university professor who has been imprisoned for two months in occupation jails, the forces returned less than half an hour later and re-invaded, heading towards the Old City.

In Jenin, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Palestinian militants fired at the Jalameh military checkpoint north of the city, which is also located in the northern West Bank.

The incursions also included the towns of Qatanna and Al-Qubeiba northwest of occupied Jerusalem, with occupation forces arresting several young men, and violent armed confrontations erupted with Palestinian militants. These forces are still besieging several neighborhoods under the pretext of searching for wanted individuals.

Targeting an Ambulance

In Hebron, south of the West Bank, Israeli incursions targeted the town of Bani Na'im, where soldiers raided and searched homes.

Occupation forces also stormed the city of Dura and the Tel Rumaida area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and fired bullets at an ambulance belonging to the Popular Committee for the Services of the al-Aroub Refugee Camp, north of the city.

The new Israeli incursions come amid an ongoing escalation in the West Bank since the resistance launched the Al-Aqsa Flood battle on October 7.

It is worth noting that 326 Palestinians have been martyred by bullets from the Israeli army and settlers, including 7 martyrs since the beginning of the current year, 2024.
