Israeli Forces Conduct Raids and Arrests in West Bank Towns

Israeli occupation forces have carried out raids in several towns in the West Bank, focusing on the towns of Ya’bad south of Jenin, Ramin east of Tulkarm, and Badia west of Salfit.

The Israeli forces also raided several homes, assaulting young men, leading to clashes with resistance fighters who hurled explosive devices at the soldiers and their vehicles.

Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces have reportedly arrested three Palestinians in the city of Halhul, north of Hebron in the West Bank. They also invaded and searched several homes, causing damage to a vehicle before withdrawing from the city.

In the city of Jenin, Israeli forces detained a number of leaders from the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements in the town of Arraba, southwest of the city, following the invasion of the town, during which homes were raided, searched, and their contents ransacked.

Local Palestinian platforms have published footage documenting the Israeli forces’ incursion into the town of Badia, west of the city of Salfit, while footage has also documented the presence of occupation forces in the town’s neighborhoods and their deployment of reinforcements towards it.

Similar footage has been released by local Palestinian platforms, documenting the incursion of Israeli forces into the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, and other videos have depicted the intensification of clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli forces following their invasion of the town of Sarta, west of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, with gunfire clearly audible in the videos.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, a young man was injured during the ensuing confrontations in the town, as reported by Ahmed Jibril, the director of the emergency and ambulance department at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, stating that a 29-year-old man was shot in the foot during clashes that broke out following the occupation forces’ invasion of the town.

Since the outbreak of the resistance’s “Al-Aqsa Deluge” and the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation has intensified its military operations in the West Bank, escalating the frequency of invasions and raids on Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and thousands of wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

In another context, the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority issued a report on the attacks by the occupation forces and settlers during last January. The head of the authority, Muayyad Shaban, stated that the occupation authorities and settlers carried out 1,593 attacks (including 186 attacks carried out by settlers), with violations being concentrated in Hebron governorate, followed by the occupied Jerusalem and Nablus.
