Today, Monday, Lebanese Hezbollah announced the killing of 3 of its members in attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation army in southern Lebanon near the border. Hezbollah clarified via the Telegram application that “the three dead are from the towns of Aytrun, At Tiri, and Yaroun in the south.”
The number of Hezbollah’s casualties has risen to 182 as a result of the daily mutual shelling between it and the Israeli army at the southern borders.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported the launching of 5 rockets towards Israeli sites in Upper Galilee near the border with southern Lebanon, indicating that warning sirens sounded in the areas of Dovev and Bar’am in Upper Galilee.
On the other hand, Israeli Channel 12 reported today that 8 rockets were detected being launched from southern Lebanon towards the northern borders of Israel. Sirens went off in several Israeli towns near the Lebanese border in the area of Upper Galilee.
In response, the Israeli army launched artillery rockets without specifying the fate of the rockets launched or the areas targeted, or the damage caused. So far, no official statements have been issued by the Israeli army or by the resistance factions in Lebanon regarding this incident.
Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv reported that up to this moment, Israel has carried out more than 3400 attacks on Lebanese territories. Meanwhile, about 2000 rockets have been launched from Lebanon towards Israel since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
This comes after Hezbollah announced yesterday the targeting of 6 sites and gatherings of Israeli soldiers off the southern Lebanese border.
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Lebanese-Israeli borders have witnessed tension and sporadic exchange of fire between the Israeli army on one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other. These events have resulted in casualties and injuries on both sides.
