Soft Eradication of Palestinian Resistance

In an article by Israeli National Security Advisor Tsahi Hanegbi, recently published in a London-based "Arabic" news website, under the title "The War of Iron Swords," he affirmed his country's approval of the Palestinian Authority (the Ramallah Authority) taking over the management of the Gaza Strip "after Hamas", aligning with the wishes of the international community and regional countries, according to his statement. Hanegbi conditioned that the "Authority" must commit to educating the younger generation (referring to children) in Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin, and Jericho with values of moderation and tolerance, without incitement to violence against Israel.

Netanyahu and the Cultural Shift in Gaza

Netanyahu, in an interview with American Public Radio just days before, talked about handing over the responsibility of the sector to a "civil administration" committed to fighting terrorism and effecting a cultural change in the Strip.

These statements, and others similar to them, referred to as "the day after the war on Gaza," reveal the denial of the reality of the quagmire the "Israeli army" has been stuck in for three months during its war on the Strip, and the enormous losses it sustained – in soldiers, equipment, and boasting no significant military victory during this period, except for "killing civilians," which no disciplined, ethical, and honor-bound army would indulge in.

Moreover, this "Israeli failure" prevents Hanegbi, his government, and its leader from determining the form and specifications of the day after a war, which "their army" has yet to decisively conclude, while signs of defeat continue to emerge daily. Whether or not the Ramallah Authority undertakes the management of Gaza affairs is not our concern.

Possible in Theory and at a Previous Time

The issue at hand is the "illusions" harbored in the minds of Zionist entity leaders – and American and European politicians behind them – obsessed with controlling "emerging Palestinian and Arab generations" through educational and cultural institutions, aiming for them to be imbued with love, gratitude, perhaps even fascination, passion, and infatuation with this occupying entity, which practically means erasing any notion of resistance to the occupation.

Is it practically possible? Can any administration – Ramallah's Authority or otherwise – raise Palestinian generations characterized by moderation, tolerance, and devoid of hatred towards Israel, whether in Gaza or the rest of the occupied territories?

Theoretically, "on paper" – and at a previous time in a non-occupation environment – it is feasible for education through formal educational institutions (regular schools) to raise children according to planned educational goals set by educational experts to impart desired values, directions, and principles, such as those desired by the Zionist entity.

"Education" is the tool for child development – mentally, emotionally, physically – preparing them to adapt to society, through experiences lived in school, interacting with teachers, peers, and school activities, both artistic and physical, which is known as "intentional education"; meaning it is purposeful and planned.

The Environment.. and the Proliferation of Social Media

Practically – in a natural environment, away from occupation – for the "desired objectives" of education in schools to be met, it is essential for "families" to agree with these objectives, be aware of them, which is not the case realistically anywhere in the world. What a child acquires from family and society, including media, social and religious institutions, is "unintentional education"; meaning the child is influenced by daily events and experiences in their familial and social environment, thus acquiring values, mental and psychological attitudes that may be undesirable.

With the advent of the internet and the proliferation of "social media," the latter has greater influence on new generations, shaping their directions, forming their opinions, attitudes, and guiding them.

Racism and Aggression Against Arabs

Back to the occupied territories and the illusions of Zionist entity leaders in "manufacturing" generations packaged with passion for the occupation, loyal to it.. Does Israel raise its new or even previous generations to coexist with Palestinians? The answer is decidedly negative.

It is known that the educational curricula in Israeli schools anchor hatred, racism, supremacy, and aggression against "Arabs" into the hearts of the entity's children. These "curricula" skip any mention of Palestinians, denying their existence outright, settling for "Arabs," who are inevitably depicted as barbaric, backward, savage, extremists, terrorists, saboteurs of civilization, and haters of Israeli civilization.

Moreover, it ignores the history and story of Palestine, claiming its land as the "Promised Land" bestowed upon the Jewish people in the Torah. Not only this, but the incitement continues against the "Palestinians," who are supposed to be statesmen, depicted as subhuman beings deserving of more than death and calling for their eradication in Gaza with a "nuclear bomb".. were it not for the severe radiological damage – which would spread in larger circles from its detonation site, highly likely to affect the Israelis themselves due to geographical proximity – the occupation army would not hesitate to use it.

Public Incitement Against the Indigenous Population

This is in addition to distributing firearms to "settlers" and publicly inciting them against the original Palestinian landowners, supported by ministers in the "occupation government," and torture orders for Palestinian prisoners in its jails. All this, and more, from calls for violence and murder against Palestinians in the occupied territories, which is publicly disseminated and augmented by some rabbis.

Any sane, mature person fully realizes the impossibility of practically applying this in any educational system, regardless of its proficiency. Certainly, it is impossible to raise a child on "tolerance" while enduring the oppressive practices of the occupation with their family, including injustice, humiliation, arrogance at security checkpoints, starvation, displacement, and even the arrest and killing simply for being Palestinian.

There is no doubt that Hanegbi and the government of the entity want to raise new Palestinian generations to be submissive and surrendering, and to carry out a soft extermination of resistance, erasing it through education, with tolerance and moderation being nothing but misleading titles.

Any occupation throughout history imposes educational, cultural, and social systems to serve its objectives and prevent resistance. However, not a single occupier has proven successful in this respect; an occupation is destined to end, sooner or later.
