“I can’t stand this life anymore,” uttered a Syrian girl, poignantly expressing the hardships she endures in the northern Syrian camps under the control of the armed opposition.
On Tuesday, Syrian journalist Jamil Al Hasan posted a video on his Instagram page, where the girl is seen lamenting the cold weather and the difficulties of life inside the camps, especially with the onset of winter and the biting cold, compounded by their lack of the most basic necessities for survival.

The video sparked significant engagement among social media users, who empathized with the young girl who, despite her tender age, narrated her suffering in touching words.
Some followers pondered the ongoing poor conditions in the camps despite the length of time people have resided there, also questioning the role of the Syrian Interim Government, aligned with the opposition, in resolving the crisis facing the displaced civilians and their struggles with the arrival of winter.
Others called for the necessity of finding, or working on, appropriate solutions to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people in northwestern Syria.

The Syrian Civil Defence, also known as the White Helmets, disseminated videos on their social media accounts demonstrating floods sweeping away a number of tents and the damage caused by the rains in the camps.

The northwestern regions of Syria are experiencing a weather depression that began the day before yesterday with heavy rainfall, leading to raging floods and the swelling of the Orontes River, which caused significant damage to the camps. This has also led to the closure of some roads, inundated farmland, and damages to more than 525 tents in 43 camps for displaced people and earthquake survivors, according to reports from the Syrian Civil Defence.
