The Tunisian national team showed improved performance, but had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Mali in the second round of the Group E matches at the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament taking place in Ivory Coast.

Tunisia entered the game with the aim of reconciling with their fans after a disappointing 1-0 loss to Namibia at the start of their tournament journey. Despite a strong start, they conceded an early goal in the 10th minute by Lassine Sinayoko.

However, Mali’s lead did not last long, as Hamza Rafia equalized for Tunisia in the 20th minute following a sequence of passes among the Tunisian players.

The Tunisian team exchanged attacks with Mali in the first half, before the opponent’s clear physical and technical superiority emerged in the second half.

Mali raised their points to 4, leading the group, while Tunisia earned their first point. The teams of South Africa and Namibia will also face each other within the same group today, Sunday.
