Israeli Forces Conduct Night Raids in Tubas, Northern West Bank; Qassam Targets Intruding Forces
Israeli occupation forces carried out nocturnal raids across various areas of the West Bank, including Tubas, Qalqilya, and Bethlehem. Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the incursions over several hours since Wednesday night. A large Israeli force, backed by around 40 military vehicles, stormed the southern axis of Tubas, engaging in a campaign of house searches amid fierce clashes with the resistance.
The military wing of the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, announced that it targeted the invading Israeli military vehicles with suitable weapons and explosive devices in Tubas.
Local Palestinian platforms shared a video capturing the moment of the occupation forces’ targeting with an explosive device during the raid on Tubas, as well as another video showing the smoke rising after the attack. They also posted images of a damaged military vehicle following the confrontations.
The occupation forces deployed snipers on the rooftops of several buildings and launched a reconnaissance aircraft in the city’s sky, according to Al Jazeera’s correspondent.
The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that two Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces in Tubas – one in the foot and the other in the lower back. The incursions and arrests continue in the cities and camps of the West Bank as part of Israel’s broad escalation since the start of the resistance battle of “Al-Aqsa Tempest” on October 7th last year.
Since then, over 6,420 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank, according to the latest figures released by the Palestinian Prisoners Club on Wednesday.
